Sorry, I have not finished them. I ordered 24"x48" sheets to keep from going motor freight, so it was only $10 for shipping.

first of all the cooling system is made from the factory to flow through the radiator. air flows through the front bumper not from the bottom of the car. therefor you dont need any holes to flow air through. Second the blueprints you can buy are an awesome design. however if you can make your own go for it. I would build them myself before spending $500

through the radiator huh? I guess that would work? ;) The holes for air flow are for cars that don't have the radiator ducted out the top. Normally the air passes through the rad then out the bottom.

sorry to bring up a dead post... On the blueprints you can order- do these mount using the factory mounting points? If so, do you just use longer bolts since most of the oem bolts are in a dip in the plastic and not the same level as the underbody pannel itself?

Most likely you would have to use spaces or make some tabs to mount your panels flush. If you want this done, I can do it later this summer when I am all set up at the shop.

I guess would be a good place to ask this question.
I had a pos previous owner who liked to do things "his own way"
So i got an mr2 with missing underbody panels (oem)
The major problem is the front end floatyness from the missing components.
I was thinking of (after the wbk goes on) of making aluminum tire wells, they would be smoother than oem, maybe even vents int he back for better airflow?
but i was gonna include speed flaps with the design.
Whatchall think?
Would it work?
(granted this includes an ENTIRE underbody panel and rear diffuser setup)

Venting the wheel wells would probably be beneficial, smooth wells would be better too but just the vents would make more difference.
Tunnels in the nose undertray work well too. Like these....

I will add them to my car when I complete the flat bottom.

i was gonna use vents in the front that would direct air onto the brakes themselves, and vents out the back to compliment this.
as for those, i would just use speed flaps on the front and rear wells

Can we revive this thread?

My stock underbody panels are mia, if there ever were any. Where can I get some, or how can I make some? Need to get something before I blow away. :surprise:
