Hello Board-
I have a question regarding the firing order and direction of rotation of an '87 4AGE distributor.....And.....if these are similar to a later, say 1990 JDM smallport 4AGE engine. I can't seem to find the firing order, and I'm not positive about the diagram in my book about the diz rotation. Thanks in advance, Dan

1,3,4,2 and it rotates clockwise. I'm almost sure that the small port dist. is not compatible with the big port ecu and igniter, they have different number of teeth in the pick up points.
BTW, the numbers should be stamped on the dist cap.

Big thanks, Papo J, - Will an 87 MK1 distributor run a small port JDM? Say if I can the JDM distributor because I'm using 87 electrical, harness, brain, components, everything? Thanks again, Dan

Yes, if you kept all of the 87 electronics it should run the small port just fine.
