Apparently the MR2 1990-1991 models have an issue with the suspension where the rear toe changes its angle under hard compression, causing oversteer.

Is there a simple fix for this issue? What is the most simple and cost-effective way to correct it? Mine is a 1991 original turbo, but general advice for 1990-1991 cars would probably be helpful to more owners.

But in a nut shell, the 91/92 rear suspension toes in on compression and out on rebound. It's that toe out on rebound (combined with the rear weight bias) that makes them so famous / infamous for lift throttle oversteer. My geometry kit also allows this effect to be minimized on the 91/92, resulting in toe changes about 20% of what it is normally.

The 93+ toes in on both compression and rebound, making it more forgiving to drive. It is possible to swap to the 93 rear sub-frame / rear tie rods. Many people do still prefer the 91 style however
