I'm interested in improving the geometry on my track car that currently sits quite low on some custom springs and yellow bilsteins, and will soon be on Ohlins front and Koni 8611 rear dampers.

The Wilhelm Raceworks geo kit looks well thought out and uses sound logic, but it's a fair chunk of money especially after shipping tax etc. (I'm in the UK)

I'm assuming this kit is more popular here than in the UK, if you have the kit fitted would you mind letting me know if you would recommend it?
What differences have you felt?
Have you considered it worth the money?
Has it lasted well without any failures?

Any feedback appreciated!
Thanks
Dan

I was shopping for RCA's (still am) a while back and this came onto my radar as well. I'm just running eibachs and koni yellows but its a '91 and has some "twitchy" moments that don't inspire a lot of confidence. Just a cruiser but I live in the Rockies so it does see the twisties. =D

anyways just a bump and a second for anyone with experience having this kit installed. I don't mind paying for the goods if there is value but I have thrown money away on stuff before and no longer wish to do so.

TIA

I am running that very kit in my car, and I love it. I have had no durability issues, and bump steer is a distant memory. After sale support is excellent.

I've got the kit as well. I purchased mine quite early on if I remember correctly, but it's been great. I actually have a few Wilhelm items and would have no hesitation buying from him again. I think it's worth the money for better turn in. I always found it tough to get the front of the car to grip and turn in during autox and this definitely helped out.

Turn in is my cars biggest problem aswell so if it makes a significant improvement there i should be able to justify it!

I have a kit on my car and I've liked it, car is super stable. Immorality is on that sticky tires can make an immense difference, but the physics of your car should be sound from the get go.

Grip with the kit is great, noticeably better than stock. A better/more stable toe curve in the rear should help the tires last longer too! No more rear tires every 9-12kmi :D

Deft, IIRC Alex's analysis has specifically pointed out that RCA's alone can actually be worse than none at all in the big picture.

The only thing I've to note (hey, Alex!) is the rear toe rod clevis is hollow on one end. If you torque it to 40lbs ft (iirc) the brackets do collapse a little bit. After a few thousand miles, they're loose again on my car and I don't want to tighten them/crush it any more. Get some washers to stack inside to help it maintain its shape! Could use a properly sized sleeve around the bolt.

Any first hand reviews of the kit on the '93+ suspension geometry?

I'm sold on getting the kit, but it seems like most of the analysis and reviews are done for the earlier suspension geometry so I'm naturally curious how the later cars respond.

This was an issue on the earlier kits. I have since reduced the size of the tube that forms the bottom of the bracket from 1.75" OD to 1.25" OD (1" ID), and I also include washers for both sides to spread the load out. The OD of a 1/2" washer is a little over 1", so it actually puts the edge of the washer over the tube, so there is a lot more stiffness there to resist collapsing the bracket. The new brackets are kinda tear-drop shaped as a result.

Let me know if you want a pair of the new design.

Cheers! All of the reviews people have given here and on the UK forum are all aligned and all very positive, so I'm already sold on the kit, trying to get a group buy together now with some other MR2 owners in the UK!

Let me know if you get it arranged, I'm also across the (big) pond and very interested in the kit!

First thing you listed was the front having more grip which is the prime thing I am looking to button in. The PO has removed the sway bar on both front and rear which I am going to give a real shot at running and seeing how well I can dial it to my liking. I've only had the car a year and its my first sw, so far I still prefer my aw but the sw certainly has a unique charm.

I'll be purchasing this later in the year, ive done what im going to do to the car for the season and will be working on other projects but am planning the next upgrades. thanks for everyones feedback =D
