Have been driving my mk1 recently and have noticed that when the engine bay temperature starts to get hot, gradually the clutch pedal pressure changes and the pedal free-play reduces so that the takeup is further out from the floor.
I havent yet changed the fluid but i am assuming that as it is the only variable it would be the first place to start.
Any one else got any brilliant ideas.
cheers

probably air in the clutch lines. Fresh bleed with clean brake fluid is a good place to start.

You have moisture in your clutch fluid. Flush and refill.

check how much fluid you have left first, if there's no leaks it's probably what the previous guys said. if it's low either your master or slave is leaking. if you change one supposedly its time to change the other. I had this problem before and it turned out to be the master which leaked into my cabin. =/ bad seal. goodluck
