I am not trying to personally burn the guy, it's just that his business practices are'nt satisfactory. Here are the actual emails between us, make up your own decision.

Mike,

Hmm... I thought that there was a second set that came in with a TRD center badge or something? Just for future reference IF anyone buys from you without checking the feedback board, don't promise your buyers something you cant deliver. I will check to make sure the money was refunded. Don't keep me in mind for the "next set" that comes in, I will buy from an authorized dealer. Good luck in future sales.

Again, I am sorry that the transaction was not satisfactory. Had i been a real business im sure it would reflect badly based on your opinion. However, like most of you all, i am simply your average mr2 owner trying to dispense products to those who would so happen to receive it when I am given the oppurtunity to receive a good deal. In this case, it was simply a matter of time in the emergence of paying and collecting for the products i received. I apologize to any of the board members who would deem this as an effort to refuse any further business, but I am a respectable individual who is just trying to help the mr2 community as would anyone else on here. Thanks for your opinion and good luck with getting your tail lights.

That really sucks. You made a deal with him and he payed you within 14 hours. what more could you ask for!!!
Not only that, but when you had the second set of lights you KNEW that you had payment from him and YOU OFFERED him the lights and pulled out of that deal too.

If he said he didnt want the second set of lights then all it would have done is delayed your sale by a couple of hours. big deal.

your not a theif but by no means are you an 'honourable' forum trader.

14 hours is obviously an amount of time anyone would certainly like to receive payment by, however this was a direct payment in which i had to make myself from my own money in order to receive this product. Waiting 3-4 days from paypal to receive funds was a mistake on my behalf. I simply received funds quicker locally in which I could pay debts due and mantain myself financially (esp. bills) Noone can deny that they mistakes. If perfection were possible than i could assure that people would have anything they want for free, but i do what i can with what i have and i try my best at it which is more than i can say for others who would do less. I do have a website which I have saved at home which currently offer brand new tail lights for $400 shipped w/lock cylinder at which I can dispense as soon as I am off work. I encourage that to any of you with more opinions to understand a situation where time was incredibly urget and to simply see as it were in my shoes.

I dont know why people dont post on the thread "paid" the second they have paid so everybody knows. Then the seller can confirm afterwords and tell everyone it is officially "sold". I do that on every transaction I do so people know not to send money becuase I already did. Whats so hard about this idea? We should make it a common practice to adopt something like this.

heymikesays , is a Great seller , i just recieved some custom side vents from him ... he shipped super fast and upgraded me to priority shipping for free. despite this situation , i can say he is first class guy

I have recived double payment on 2 diffrent ocasions and simply reply to the last bidder that it sold. paypal is so easy to refund people.The problem is that not everyone slacks off all day at work on there PC. the first bidder wins in most cases and the last bidder is refnded asap. its the people that try to keep the money or make excuses that are the problem

Thanks for the link Mike. I ordered a set from conicelli's last night though. I am not disputing that HeyMikesays sells a good product, I bet that 95% of the time he delivers as promised. Unfortunately I was part of the 5%. This matter wasnt a matter of me not claiming that I had dibs on the tail lights 93smgturbo, nor was it a matter of two people sending payment Lmackattack (I was the first bidder regardless). I would never send money unless the seller told me it was mine upon payment. I was told that the product was mine if I could Paypal ASAP.

14 hours later I sent the money. He had another buyer put cash in his hand by then and I was SOL. THAT IS WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. It was not that two buyers sent money at the same time. It came down to a business promise that was broken because he wanted to get paid quicker. Can't really blame him if you look at it in the Supply and Demand aspect of the retail business world. However, this is not the business retail world. I would like to think that I can take a MR2OC board member at his word, not only as a fellow enthusiast but also as a friend. Screw the taillights, Im single, 21 and stuck overseas. I have money to spend on car parts. The fact of the matter is I was led to believe something that wasnt entirely true and I was put in a position to get screwed. If there is one thing I have learned in my 3 years and 9 months in the military it is not to put yourself in a position to be screwed. I would be a bad MR2OC member if I didn't bring this situation to light. I don't think we will hear any more negative feedback about HeyMikeSays and I truly believe I was the first person that encountered this problem with him. I just hope I am the last. I have been refunded and all is well.

BTW Trent... It is my pleasure.
