Just in need of a quick confirmation. I think they are all the same but I want a second opinion so I don't waste time trying to install pads I bought for my '86 MR2, onto my '87 since I don't have my '86 anymore. I know they rotors are bigger but are the calipers and pads the same?

I have soem stock front pads and Porterfield R4-S rear pads that have been sitting on my shelf for months and I never got around to installing them on my '86 and now I'm going to put them on my new '87.

Actually i thought pads were all the same also, along with calipers. Only thing that ever changed was rotor diameter in 87+. But if you want to know for sure either look up pads on a toyota parts site, or on an aftermarket pads site.

Pads should be the same. I thought the calipers on the later cars were a bit bigger to fit over the thicker rotors. Early calipers should work with later rotors though.
