Ok i decided to check my car today, and took off the oil cap on my 85na, i have an earlier post stating the problems i'm having with it. but on the very top of the cap you can some a white kinda of substance that covers the top part of the cap, its not, just enough to not see the color of the cap. could this be a blown head gasket and the cause of my problems?

probably just moisture from inside your crankcase causing the white substance. i had an 87 transam with the same substance on the dipstick. i drained the oil completely and filled the case with kerosene and ran the engine until hot. then drained again and added fresh oil. kinda like an engine cleanout.

Ewwww! Your poor bearings!

If you've just gott'a do an "engine cleanout", use fresh Castrol High Mileage and run it for about 500 miles. Then change the oil and filter.
