I have a 91' SW20 N/A, looking to buy some wheels for it. Wondering what the best wheel specifications would be in order in terms of "fitment" without having to run a spacer. Thinking of a 17 inch wheel?

Best is relative.

A common post is 17x8 front, 17x9 rear +35 w/ 215/40-17 fronts and 235/(245)/40-17 rears.

Agree^
I personally like the 17/18 double staggered look as I have... but don’t go that route... tire sizes is hard enough for 17’s x 4 vs 17/18 is impossible basically

The limiting factor in a 17/18 double staggered combo is actually the 17" front tire sizes - and not the plentiful rear 18s.

I'm running 17x8 +40 with 215/40, 17x9 +40 245/40 Yokohama advan fleva v701 tires. No spacers, no rolling fender, sit just about flush.

Whats the red car in the PIC, kinda looks like a fiero?
Yup 88 gt 5spd, my first car 20 years ago. I've got an LS4 engine and F40 Trans ready to go in it. Once I have the turbo mr2 sorted and sell the n/a mr2 I'll get started on it.

^ Had one of those too, Fieros are underrated and quite fun.

If you drive in the rain, let me know how those v701s are. I'm thinking my next set will be those tires if they're decent in the rain.

That Fiero looks awesome!!! They really should have built off that... makes ya wonder if the Corvette, maybe would have just become the C8... btw, I’m sick of hearing about this new “mid engine” discovery.... 🤦‍♂️Are u kidding me!?!?
