I've always felt that BBS LM wheels feel like cheating a bit, in that they look amazing on just about any car and they make just about any car look amazing. Well, I finally scored a set (my Holy Grail wheels), and man am I not disappointed. Yeah, these are used and a bit rough... they'll need refurbishing eventually, but even so... God do they look good!!!

Looks awesome. Always loved the red+gold combo.

I’ve debated between these and vs-xx as to which I like better, but I they are both great.

Now put the faces behind the barrels for an even better looking wheel and lower offset. What are the specs on your wheels?

17x7/8+42/45 5x114.3

I like these sizes because they will accommodate some very popular tire sizes, including 205/45/17 x 225/45/17. Tirerack currently has 13 different options for all-season tires in these sizes, rated "V" or better. Right now Tirerack has no 215/40/17 x 235/40/17 all season options.

As for fitment, the fronts are very flush with the fender, whereas the back are a little inset. You only notice it if you look for it, but I'll probably eventually add a small spacer to the rears just to bring them flush with the fronts.

What size tires do you have now? I can say from experience 205 45 17 looks too tall in the front.

I've got 215/40/17's There's a 1/2" difference in size between a 215/40/17 and 205/40/17. That mean 1/4" ride height increase (1/2" radius = 1/4" diameter).

I suspect that as long as you're running 45's front and rear it won't look so bad.

That said, as long as I can keep putting 40's all around that don't demand warm storage in winter that's what I intend to keep doing. I guess, worst case scenario I can go with 205/40/17 x 225/45/17. Right now Tirerack shows 5 all season high-performance options.
