We all know that the B&M short shifter has the lowest lever height, but does it have the shortest throw? The best way to determine that is to measure the distance from the bottom of the B&M shifter (the blue ball part) to the center of the cable attachment hole. Measuring the the distance from the gear lever plate in the console to the upper cable won't work, because the blue drop plate supplied with the B&M lowers the shift lever assembly down, without altering geometry.

I have both a 93+ gear lever and a TRD gear lever in my possession, which I will measure once I can find my calipers.

I don't think it's worth measuring the height of the gear lever past the upper cable attachment point and then comparing ratios, because knobs vary wildly in their height. Also, you could be using an extension to gain leverage. So just the ball-to-upper cable attachment point measurement will be needed. Thanks!
