Natalie, you may try asking Su (S&K Auto, (Board Name First4AGE) or Josh (Chicoraceworks). I know it's possible but not sure on the price.

For a MKI, if you do it yourself, the cost varies from around $150 (someone gives you a parts car) to over $1,000 (parts sourced from the dealer, ebay, pick your parts, dismantlers, etc.). IMHO, if you plan to pay someone to do convert the car, it is not worth it. The estimated $150 cost includes buying fluids, resurfacing the flywheel, purchasing some tools you may not have, possibly replacing worn parts like the engine/transmission mounts, etc. The cost goes up if you decide to buy a new clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, flywheel, etc. It is very important that you find a good transmission. There is a thread about auto to manual conversions posted in the MKI FAQ section (I think on page 5). I think the complete parts list is in that thread. If not, I can provide it.
