I tried emailing, calling and texting about status on my car, but not sure if he is still around. Car was supposed to be finished earlier in the year, but no updates as of late. Hopefully he is doing ok. I have sent a bunch of money and the car is waiting for motor to be dropped in and tuned.

He can be a bit hard to get a hold of times. Doesn't visit the forum much anymore so email or phone is best to use. Keep trying.

Last time I heard from him about my car was June 14th. I texted him on June 22nd and again on July 3rd. Then I emailed him on July 5th and again on July 12th. But it's good to know he's not disappeared from the face of the earth! Same situation here, he's had my car since May 2017 and he's told me many times that my car is first to go because it's in the bay, that it's almost done, and so on. I've not posted online about my experience at all until now, simply out of respect for the guy because I don't know what his personal situation is like. However seeing this post and going through the same thing, it's only right that I share my experience too. Hopefully I too will hear back from him soon.

Anyone have Josh’s contact info or know his status? I have been trying to reach him regarding status of my car and may have to pursue legal action if he doesn’t respond. Don’t want to flush more money down the drain, but feel I have no other option. It has been 7 years and many promises that the project would be completed “by the end of the year”. Thanks to other people that have contacted me that have or had the same situation I am experiencing.

I made a post a few years back. Easy to get a hold of unless something is owed. Everyone checks their email, just saying.

I would give him till the end of the month.

Report the car and money stolen and have the police pick him up. I bet he will contact you asap.

That's what I would do at least. Some people need to be taught hard lessons

Well partially my fault as 3-4 of those years were when I worked overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m reasonable and easy going with timeline, but really would like to get to drive it one of these days. Wife keeps wanting me to get rid of it, but was my first project car. Also have had 2 kids in that time and they have kept me busy.

It does not matter how patient he is. This will go on for a while. And the worst part of it? Even if for some miracle CRW guy completes his job (0.01% chance). OP will have one of two outcomes:
1) car will fail shortly after the completion
2) OP will not take a chance and have another shop inspect the work and fix the car the proper way.
So just to save time and money, get your car out of CRW and all the money you can get back ( probably none ) and get it to ANY shop preferably to MR2 shop. But ANY would work much better than CRW. How can you trust MR2 specialist who puts timing belt 7 teeth off? Not one, not 2 - 7!!!
Good luck though.

I got my car back from Josh in the beginning of March. It's running fantastic and I'm happy with the result. He's been much better with communication these days as well.
