Hello,

Photobucket.com has recently changed its terms of service for free users on their platform. As of June 20 images hosted by Photobucket and shared on our forum, or any other third party sites, will no longer appear. As a result, you may notice a higher amount of broken images on the forum.

If you do not have access to edit your older posts please contact an Administrator or Moderator for assistance. Please provide the new URL for the image that needs to be edited and a link to the thread the image in located in.

More information on the change and what it means for Photobucket users can be found below.

Photobucket Terms of Use http://photobucket.com/terms

Thank you

I searched for one and there doesn't seem to be one, unfortunately. At least not under the same name as the other two browser extension (photobucket embed fix). You can give it a shot and see if you find anything else that could work: https://safari-extensions.apple.com/ or use the other browsers when you want to view the pb images.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

Cheers,
Natalie

Photo_ucket should be hung drawn and quartered for what they have done to their clients. It has messed up every board out there.
I would never use photobucket or any hosting that can pull this kind of stunt.

I added the "photobucket embed fix" extension to Chrome, but I still cannot download images from the forum.

Does "3rd Party Hosting" need to be enabled in account settings? If so, then where may I find "3rd Party Hosting" in the account settings? I don't see it.

Hello there,

How are you downloading the images?
You can view the images am I correct? If so, use the right click method to download the image.
If that isn't correct, can you send us a screenshot of your issue?

Best regards,

Ed

I presume VerticalScope is putting significant pressure on Photo_ucket since all of VerticalScope forums are broken as a result.
This is driving users away from forums altogether. Many how-to posts are instantly obsolete. As if forums were not already beleaguered, now the backbone of forums - the library database - is severely compromised.

You're absolutely right this is a complete disaster for the forums.

The browser add-on solution may work temporarily but another solution is needed.

I've seen automated solutions for acquiring and re-hosting all photobucket images for a forum and I would have liked to see by now a statement from Verticalscope that they are implementing something like that.

To my knowlege there is no add-on/extension available for Safari you would have to use Chrome or Firefox.

These add-ons are developed by independent parties as a service for the Mozilla and Chrome communities. So far no Apple developers have stepped up to the plate for Safari.

Yup that is totally correct, please refer to this post. There are only Photobucket extensions on Firefox and Chrome.
