I've searched so many threads and not only is there conflicting info, not a straight answer.

I have a 93+ TRD LSD E153 (figure 1) and wondering what axles are usable with this? I currently *think* I have 91/92 OEM LSD axles in there, but having second thoughts, the drivers one seems ok, the passenger one seems too long (splines) and thus not creating a good seal and leaking oil. So which axles CAN be used?

[edit] Now that I think about it, the axles came from a tranny with Quaife LSD. Now non-lsd axles can be used with this, can lsd ones be at all? To my knowledge TRD LSDs are used with NON-LSD axles, so basically I'm double checking on which axles the TRD LSD accepts.

TRD made two LSD's, one for 91/92 and one for 93+.

If your car is a 93+ and was equipped with the 93+ TRD LSD you need 93+ LSD axles.

LSD axles can be used with non-LSD's/non-93+ LSD's though they do not lock into place.

In your case you would need LSD axles.
