Wow!! I would LOVE this ! I hope my build is done by then and tune finished.... but not very realistic !
Looks like it's not a track DAY... but ONE track "Session"... usually 20-30 minutes track time.... is this right? Any idea if camping is allowed on site?
Correct, its a way to get new people into track days.
I would email LRP about the camping question. I usually see people camped out tho.
If you do another one sometime between June and August I'm in. Won't be in town for this one.
hey Mark, Lets plan a caravan to head up there.
hmmm.... didn't know it was just a quick few spins around the track :/
I wonder if they ever have a "real" track day for less than a fortune for those like me who want to see if it's something we want to do on occasion?
Because its costs ALOT of money to rent real tracks. This is the only way you will be able to get on a real track and drive with no pace car for less than $200

Randy, sounds good. We can meet at 87 resttop.
Hey Mark, what are the specific classes and rules that a first timer would be looking for? I've never run my car so I have no idea where to find what class I would be in or what safety equipment would be required.
You will be in a group with other beginners. There is only point by passing. Just need a seat belt for diver and pass. They even have helmets for rent for the hyperdrive group.
Its a good idea to flush with new brake fluid b4 you go out.

O yea, limerock has a 100db sound limit. The only track in the area actually. If you are worried make some 90deg turndowns, they work really well.
i can just show up with helmet and mr2?

do they require the pre track inspection and alignment etc... ?
Its smart to flush in new brake fluid. Review the tech form. Most of the stuff on there its really up to the driver to make sure is ok. They do not go through the car with a fine tooth comb. Just a quick visual. and DB test for LR.
For one session youll be ok. If your doing a full day a very complete inspection is recommended, just so you dont break your car.

Tech form:

i see, no prior experience of anything needed? i want to come and try track for the first time.

and i need to be a nasa memeber? can i join on the spot?
Yes, its meant for beginners! No exp necessary! Just sign up! :)
You must register ahead of time, and this does sell out usually
i signed up! can i have 2 drivers for my car ill register twice?
any helpful pre inspection checks on top of that list to make sure?
For hyperdrive? Not sure contact NASA directly.

For a full day the drivers must be in different groups.
Tips. New oil. New brake fluid. Check over all chassis bolts. Fox anything you know is not 100%
It would be VERY cool to drive Limerock! (Unfortunately, right now, it would not be very cool to drive across the country.)
