How come nobody makes this size tire? Or do they and I just can't find a manufacturer? I guess this is why people do the 16" rim in the front & 17" in the back. I'm currently running 245/50R16 rear & 205/45R16 up front. The overall size difference is just huge & it looks bad. I bought the car used and this is what came with it. I'm thinking of going to the 225's in the back instead until i can get some 17's.

if you go back to a 225 in the rear, go with a 45 series sidewall. IMO, the 225/45 rear goes well with the 205/45 front, and the overall height is almost identical to stock.

I hear yah on the 245/40/16 though. That size would be PERFECT for those of us who like to run 16's.

some companies used to offer 245/40/16s a while ago but have stopped. probably because there wasnt a huge demand for them. id love this size too for my 16x8.5s in the rear.

245/45/16 isn't that big, its pretty much the same as the 245/40/17s that people use with no problems

i'm not a fan of the tal sidewall that the 245/45/16 has.
