I have for sale a 1993 MR2 which has a rebuilt 1999 1mzfe V6 engine swap. There's approximately 158xxx miles on the rust-free body, and perhaps 6500 miles on the rebuilt engine. I've had this car for a couple years--it runs fantastic and handles superbly. I believe the only issues are the power antenna doesn't work, and there's a slight leak at the T-tops during heavy rains (I have new OEM MR2 rubber seals for both sides...worth several hundred dollars alone. Just haven't installed them...they go with the car). This is the 5th MR2 I've owned. Some of the mods include: Short shifter, Flywheel, Stage2 clutch, Fuel pressure regulator, Apexi safc, and Greddy SP exhaust. I'm asking $4500 or best reasonable offer (low-ballers will be summarily ignored). Please note, I am located in the U.P. of Michigan. That means, I am far closer to Minneapolis MN or Green Bay WI than I am to Detroit. Thanks for looking...feel free to contact me by e-mail or PM. $4500 obo...serious inquiries only, please!! ***EDIT 6/25/14***NEW PRICE: $4200******EDIT 6/25/14***NEW PRICE: $4200***
I might be sending you a PM here in a couple of days so I am using this as a bookmark for this thread. Mine was hit this morning in my parking lot and from the looks of the damage they are probably going to total it out. I was getting ready to purchase things for a V6 swap anyways so this would be perfect for me to move to.
Well I thank god but shockingly they didn't total my car. Estimate came back at $2,200 so it looks like I will have a brand new front end. Good luck with the sale though.
I have a 91 n/a with only 7000 miles on a fresh rebuild, 148k on the chasis bored over .040 with new rods and pistons, ported & polished, I would trade straight across.
I also have 5 other cars I would trade straight across including an extremely rare 5 speed Volvo that I cherish dearly.
