What tire size would be good for these?
This is for a 89 SC with stock suspension
I think the smallest tire i could get is a 195/50/15 but i am not sure if these would rub
i was using 15X7 +35 with 195/50 15 with no problems
okay any help is appreciated

The rear will not be difficult, but with the front, a taller tire than stock will tend to rub the spring perch, unless you push it out away, in which case it will tend to start rubbing the fender. I have 215/45/15 on 15x7 with 33mm offset front and rear on my 88 and I have a little room before it hits the fender and plenty of room away from the spring perch. But if the tire were a 215/50 I would be in trouble with the spring perch. You could run a 225/50/15 in the rear with no problem, but maybe you could run a 205/50/15 or the 215/45/15 in the front.

yea i am thinking the 195/50's will be to wide on the 6.5 wheels
i run a 195/50/15 on my 8.5's on my AE86 and they still GRIP like crazy

i heard that the MRS has a 185/55/15 front tire stock
so maybe i will just get some of these from toyota

so jeebert do your tires hit the fender in hard turns?
I did have one bit of rubbing when I had the Konis on full soft. It was on a 110 deg bend and I was in 2nd gear and at the limits. With the Konis on at least 1/4 stiff, I haven't had any rubbing since. I am running -1.6 deg camber in the rear and -2.5 in the front, so with less than that I would say a 35-38 mm offset would be better for those tires to keep them off the fender.

A 195/50/15 tire has a recommended rim width of 5.5 - 7 inches. They will work great on a 6.5.
