Great Great post thank you. I did not feel like removing the dash as I don't think I could get it back together. For those of you like me I found a shortcut. Remove the glove box lid and basket so you can get at the pin on the right side. Then work to remove the diffuser out of the dash. Took some juggling but I got it out. I then put the half Velcro on the inside of the tube to hold the flap permanently open. I will never close it so I am OK with this.
