hi all,

i'm having issues with my powersteering since a swap from a 92 NA EU to a gen2 US 3SGTE. the power steering stops working after exactly one minute.

details:
'92 NA 3SGE from germany, swapped to a gen2 3SGTE US spec. problem occured immediatly after the swap. i ran a Jap sepc stock ECU for about a year, but then switched to Microsquirt plug and play (MS) which is based of a Gen2 US 3SGTE, so i secretly hoped that would solve my problem, but alas, it has not.

wire harnass from the engine to the ECU is US.

i have done a lot of reading and searching, and i believe that the issue may be that the PSTC and PS wire from the PS ECU do not make it to the MS. these wires tell the PS ECU that the car is running and thus the PS pump should run if i understand correctly.

does anyone have any idea on the colours of these wires on the PS ECU side and the engine harnass side?

or any other ideas as to what causes this?

Your issue is the pin out on the ECU. Repin E6 to suit the actual ECU and you should be good to go.

The power steering should not run until the engine is running. Your power steering is running with the key on for about 30 seconds because the signal from the ECU is not correct.
Go grab the pinout off both ECUs and compare. You'll see the difference.
