3071 dyno ,Gen 3 N/A cams. 355whp /320 torque.

Dyno'd in 4th gear using 94 octane on a Dynapack.

- stock Gen 3 engine, manifolds & throttle body with a K.O. GT3071R turbo & .63 turbine side.
- Running dual Gen 3 N/A M/T intake cams (252 Deg. & 9.8 lift) set at 111.5 IN and 112.5 EX.
- 800 Sards, Supra TT pump, 4" intake, full 3" exhaust & D.P, Aeromotive AFPR @ 42psi.
- Big Apex'i TMIC with twin 10" fans, 3" diameter one piece aluminum pipes.
- Upgraded Exedy clutch with full face sprung disc.
- Yellow graph line is boost. Using an MBC it peaked at 18.5 psi falling to 17.5psi.
- AFR's were 11.4:1 at WOT
- stock head & springs so RPM limit set at 7800rpm.
- Tuned on a Gen 3 Power FC.
- 80/20% distilled water/Meth added later for extra safety layer activating at 10psi with adj. psi switch.

- Bottom end torque is outstanding. Engine has excellent throttle response, spools early with great mid range
- running hard to redline.
- A really fun street setup with a wide powerband.
- I may retard the exhaust cam a few more degrees to see if it further helps the top end.

Did you have time to play around with the CAM's to find the best configuration?

Does this configuration of the CAM's make the Engine an interference engine?

Given the dip in power at ~4250rpm its a Standard Gen 3 ECU your running?

No I didn't adjust the gears on the dyno . I had been running the 252* intake at 113* C.L with a Beams Redtop 244* exhaust cam before this , so it was just the 252* exhaust cam that was slightly bigger and degreed differently here. There may be some more top end gains with extra exhaust retard but I was after more spool than before and got it with this combo.
It runs hard to redline and has an excellent smooth idle (slight lope) which is something I was after.
I like the 200ft/lbs @3400rpm and the torque plateau in the mid range.

With the extra lift I suspect that it may now be interference but maybe some of the experts can answer that one.

The tuner played around with timing & mixture to try and smooth out that dip around 4-4200rpm but couldn't get rid of it. My previous dyno had the same thing but at slightly higher rpm. I've noticed that a lot of Gen 3 with the stock manifold seem to have it too so perhaps it's a flow issue as I'm running a PFC.

That "dip" is always there. I have it on stock engine, not a stock with custom exhaust manifold and with both exhaust and intake straight runner manifold. Also 3 different ecus and same dip.

Thanks for confirming that. Some others running aftermarket manifolds seem to smooth out the graph a bit.
It would be interesting to see what aftermarket intake & exhaust manifolds & a larger TB would do for flow and top end but I really don't want to give up the stellar low & mid range.
