Gtx3071r +e85+22psi= 401whp

Finally got back from the dyno after months and months.
My last setup was a custom billet ct20 which made 315 whp and 314 tq on 21 psi.
I felt the turbo was not utilizing as much of my new built motors potenial so I sold it and got a gtx3071r .82ar.

So current specs are :
Built 2.0
Cp pistons
Eagle rods
Acl bearings
Moroso oil pan
Arp HS
Cometic HG
Supertech 1mm os valves
Supertech dual VS
Gsc 268 cams
1zz shimless lifters
Phenolic spacer
Custom W2A IC
GTX3071r . 82 ar
Tial mvs
3"dp
4" exhaustt
E85
1200cc injectors
Walbro 416
Aeromotive AFPR
Mspnp
That's about it.
I'm feeling the stock IM is becoming a restriction at this point.
Maybe I'll get a straight runner IM here soon.

get a different manifold and you should see pretty significant gains. i was also running stock intake manifold and was limited to power due to that and sidemount 335 at 17psi pump gas. switched to racerx side feed and a2w and made 513 e85 400 pump gas.
nice results though must be a different beast for sure

I'm gonna try a custom re-plenum.
Should be done by the end of the week.
With a 75mm TB

Got my replenum done and 75mm BBK TB installed and running. Just have to get a nicer cold pipe made and throttle cable.
I'm using the stock throttle re-routed.
So after that's done I'll re-tune.

I see you went with 268 cams, do you think you could make 450 hp with stock cams and aftermarket intake and throttle body. what are the advantages and disadvantages of the oversized valves? how much did that turbo cost you? I am going to be running almost identical set up as urs except my crank is stroked, are you running an IC in your trunk?

Maybe you could but at even higher boost than you could with cams.
Bigger valves might loose some power on the low end but make up for it up top.
The turbo is like 1800 retail or so.
The intercooler is water to air and it's in the drivers side top corner.

21 is my lucky number haha.
It recently made 467 whp and 458 tq with a custom side replenum.

Still at 21 psi. But we were only revving to 5500 as we were leaning out.

I got a doc race manifold just waiting to dyno again

you really should be running a 3" exhaust. 4" isnt necessary till 750whp.

I should update this haha.

It made 467whp and 458 wtq at 21.5 psi. This was on the old water to air inter cooler.

Not done yet but getting close. Trying to make it to TORC this year.

I switched over to a trunk mount air to air Greddy core 24x12x4.5

And I switched to AEM V2

for a billet CT20 315whp @ 21psi something was very wrong. our billet 20b on a stock built gen2 engine with BC 264 made 317whp on 17psi on 91 pump and 358whp on E85 @ 19psi

regardless it's making killer power now!

Does the GTX3071 make the mr2 accelerate 1) smoothly like a high-powered NA car or does it accelerate with 2) a little lag and then a massive gush of boost pushing you to the seat?

it spools about 300 rpm later than my billet ct 20b but makes 100hp more. But once it's got 17-18 psi built up you just sink into the seat. If you're in 1st or 2nd it's gets sideways if you're not careful. I hope I answered your question.

I have some goodies to install soon
