I dont have a pic of it, but the center storage bin in the back, I got an extra one and drilled through it. You can get mounts to go through that, I haven't bought one yet though.

this is what i have thought of doing. the threaded hole in the bottom of my camera is just 1/4"-20, so i just figure i could bolt it right to the center console lid....

Yah, I have one of the triple-suction window mounts from ChaseCam, which is stuck to the inside of my rear cabin window so the camera ends up between the passenger and driver's headrests.

Works well, though with any of these mounts, the more lightweight the camera the less shake and vibration you will see.

i used the center console too, but ghetto rigged a old camera mount onto a squareish shaped peice of PVC pipe and cable tied it to the console lid.

Crammed a tripod behind the passenger seat and aimed the camera towards the front.. worked pretty good

I did similar with a tripod but put it in between the seats (a little behind since my center console is out). Just used 4 motorcycle tie downs to put the tripod in tension to the two heads rest bars and two points low on the back of the seats. Takes about 2-3 minutes to set up and definitely does not move around by using the tie downs.

A note on the camera mount ITA-MR2 posted a link to...

I got one for my Miata. It had a roll bar, and I clamped it to the bar. I got so much vibration through that mount that the video was basically unusable. :( I tried different cameras, and different ways to dampen the vibration - rubber between the bar and mount, etc. Nothing fixed it, so I sold it.

MANY other people I know have used this camera mount in other cars with NO problem whatsoever. My old mount in particular now sees regular use in an ITS RX-7. I've seen flawless video from several BMWs using this mount. But other Miata owners I've talked to have had the same problems I did. So it may be specific to how a roll bar goes into a Miata, which means an MR2 may not have an issue.

But personally, I'm just going to bolt it to the top lid of the center console. :p
