I guess those BMW V12's are slightly more available... I would love to see that Toyota V12 dropped into something though. Hell, I would love to see one of those Toyota V12's.

Me too, but Century Limos just don't exist here...

Mini update, work still progressing on the car albeit slowly, i got my rollcage finished and painted, this just needs welding into the cabin.

I've gone with white to match the white piping on my black leather bucket seats. (Jays idea)

The project continued today and i decided to take a break from the bodywork and spend a little time on the interior. First job was to weld my rollcage in permanently... i also got my seats fitted (i still have people telling me they don't believe i fit in this car and it's driveable!)

You can see i have had to chop down the centre console, just removed 2" of it to make it fit, more proof that this is all i have had to steal from the cabin to fit the V8, it's just at the top of the new firewall that it looks like 8" because of the original firewall gradient. I've also made a new cubby box between the seats, again a chopped down version... aw cute!

So i'm pretty happy with how the interior is going to be, although it still needs work.

A quick look at what i'm planning for the indicator lenses here, i made these years ago but never got around to fitting them, they are not the usual clear lenses you will notice, i converted some driving lights that are exactly the same size as a Mk1 indicator/sidelight unit, these lenses fit into the plastic housing that held the old lens, so it will all bolt up to the bumper bar as normal. The inside will have a separator so it will have an orange bulb on one side and a clear sidelight bulb on the other.

The foglights i have planned for the bumper... i was after some JDM motorized flip lid ones but they are super rare.

The Custom Crystal Clear Corner lights are beautiful!

Also, I heart alliteration!

I thought i'd stick my two pride and joys next to each other for a bit of a comparison pic, the red car is my minty stock Mk1, nothing more than Lenso Samurai wheels/Yokohama rubber and dropped 30mm, everything else is standard. This really gives a good persective of how extreme this Mk1 V8 is...

Both cars will be at JAE this year.

The shape is a success, Paul. nicely done. It is soo hard to make big changes like this and have it look good.

Thanks Gandalf.

A few side by side reference shots... really shows how aggressively styled the 8 is.

The carbon blade is missing from the V8's rear spoiler.

There could be a number of things to be done besides the exterior.

Of course I could be wrong:

I wanna vent my hood kinda like that. It doesnt look too terribly hard, it looks great and I'm sure it will help with front end grip as well as cooling too!

Bank holiday Monday means only one thing, V8 time! I got stuck into the bodywork, not a lot you can appreciate in the pics here but it's just general de-dinting work and flush blending.

Sorry the update isn't very exciting but a lot of progress made today.

Another bank holiday means another days progress on the 8, more bodywork done, most of the passenger side is ready for a high build primer coat now...

Just a few little areas that need attention...

Another new mod today, part of cleaning up the bodywork with less clutter included getting rid of the eyebrows on the front bumper, which of course then leaves a large gap between the light cover and the bumper. I chopped up two covers and made one extended one out of them, this now extends into the bumper and has the same panel gap running all the way around the cover, it looks so much cleaner.

With the light up, a reminder i've made some Rogue Mk2 lights fit on the Mk1, they had to be altered a lot to make it work on a Mk1.

Still need to modify the light shrouds too but it's really starting to come together now. Thanks to Jay for his help bouncing ideas off as usual, he has a good eye for these things.
