Yeah, that's Nitrate's car, but I don't find it on this board after a quick search (might be missing it). He and it came up in a V8 Mk2 thread on the "other" board.

Its a 302 btw.

A junker carbed v8 in the front of a mid engine car, sounds like typical redneck swap. They seem to think that throwing a v8 into anything makes it cool and fast.

I get that it's different, but different doesn't always mean good. Junky old enigine swapped into a junky old car; sweet

One of his other threads states its "a HO v8 out of a thunderbird" all I can say about that one is /facepalm. Other than that it sounds nice, but defeats the cars purpose. Kudos to him from saving it from the junkyard.

You haven't read the stickies in this section then

I don't class nitrates car as anything other than a front engined V8 chassis with an mr2 shell sat on top... you could mount any shell on that setup, mounting a Ferrari shell on it wouldn't make it a Ferrari, that stopped being an Mr2 a long time ago.

That car was built with the sole intention of pissing off MR2 owners. Nitrate is/was known for his attitude and being, basically, a jerk who knew how to use a welder.

It's an interesting project, but.. yeah...
