Power antenna replacement help

For those who have removed the power antenna and covered the hole in the wing what alternative antennas have you used for the radio and what has worked the best?

I am not familiar enough with the space available forward of the tail lights in an SW20 to be certain it's possible, but you might try what we used in Z32s with good results. You can run replacement fixed antenna behind the trim in that area (across the back of the car); it worked well and I would think you can find space in there somewhere unless they have something oddball.

If you have the original windshield there is a wire that goes through the top of it. My antenna is wired to that & it works great. There should be a sticky guiding you through the process. In previous cars(non mr2) i have run wires along the front of the roofline & under the trim plastic that has also worked great. I think the windshield works a little better. Both provide a very clean look.

Let's correct that typo.

S2000 Antenna Mod - SW20 MR2
$12.50 USD

Any higher than that is gouging.

I just went to a junkyard when mine went out. 7th gen Celica manual antenna masts work on the Mr2. That and looking for a nice euro (think S2000) antenna cost me a total of 13 bucks.
