For you guys asking about smoke machines. instead go and buy a pack of cigarettes, take a long drag and blow the smoke into a vacuum hose. Open the throttle body to let smoke into the intake piping. then run the test. =)

Gents. I have a question about the tiny PCV hose that goes from TB to VC. During my boost leak testing, I have large amount of air rush thru this line. Do I need to cap it when doing the boost leak test? If yes, good news for me! If not, then what could be my problem of leak? Thanks!

Do you think capturing the smoke from a smokebomb and somehow piping it into the intake will work? I am not sure if those smokebombs will have anything which can damage the engine.

Also, any suggestions on how to do this same test to find leaks in vacuum lines?
