Don't get a 2871. This has been discussed here many times, the 2867 spools faster, has better transient response, and makes very close to the same peak power on the GTE.

I tried searching and saw some old post with discussions on it. but i also saw one guy putting down 400hp on a 2871 snd he said he was getting spool by 3000 rpm, but was on a 3sge so i think that might of been from the higher compression that helped. I tried looking up the 2867 you suggested and the only one i see come up is the gtx model, is that the one you talking about?

The 67 is a gtx compressor wheel. It's newer technology and better overall. Personally I'd do a 3067, but that's just me.

Yeah i noticed is the gtx model. I was actually going to do a 3067, that was my original plan with a twin scroll housing and manifold. Im building a a gen4 and i really trying to keep the best low end as possible. But i got a crazy deal on a v band tial .86 housing for gt28 so i will just use this for now, and might just go with the 2867, but i also was kinda leaning with the 2871 because the offered a 4" inlet with 2.5" out compressor that would of been nice.

If you go with a GTX3067 you won't regret it. I would know from experience.

The problem with the 2871, especially with a .86a/r housing is that it spools so slowly compared to the 2867 for a small peak gain, less transient power, whereas a 3071 is a better balanced/matched turbo as a whole... So the 3071 spools just a tiny bit slower than the 2871 but generally will make more power, almost everywhere

Ok thanks for all the helpful info. Yeah im just going to end up going with a garret gtx2867 or even from looking around seen garret released the new gen2 gtx turbos and the new gtx2860r has now 470hp output wich is almost the same as the regular gtx2867, so kinda leaning on that since its the latest turbo. Even the new gen2 gtx2867r is capable of over 500hp
