Stainless steel Mr2 "cancer bars"

Hey guys as the title says I am in the process of replicating our old rusty brace. I'm trying to keep them as close to stock as possible by making a stamping die and pressing them, not just using a vice. It is .065 gauge steel just as oem.

Just wondering if there is any interest! right now its looking like i have 5 sets. i can always order more piping. But the more people interested the more the price will drop.

As of right now, the price seems to be around 50$ plus shipping. Thanks!

PS: i didn't add this to the forsale thread because i will not accept anyones money till I finish the first run. Just wanted to build interest.

I got done stamping the rest of the sides. I will get pictures up later today. I will have 5 sets forsale for sure. I'm debating if I want to mill all 4 corners to make them exactly stock. It will take a little bit with a Bridgeport and I don't know if it's worth the time since they already look good. What do you guys think?

I'm assuming this is for the pair? If so, I'm certainly interested.

Silky smooth stamp work you got there! Would love to see the finished product.

One "Yes", to finishing the ends like the stock part.

Damn it guys I guess i'll do it! and yes around 50$ for the pair if it doesn't take too long to mill the sides. anyways here are the pics of the finished stampings!

Edit: Might not be able to finish by the end of the week. i need to finish my 4th gen swap! We will see how much i get accomplished within the week.

Also, i haven't really thought about posting in the group buy section. Do i need to be a vendor to post forsale ads in there?

Nice. Very professional looking. They never seem to be as much of a problem as the rears, but what about doing the fronts as well? Just for a complete set.

I guess I really didn't think about doing the fronts because mine weren't rusted. I will look into it and see how close they are to the rear set. But it should not be hard to make a new die for the fronts. I never knew the fronts were as bad as the back. If people are interested in buying a whole set I might be able to do it. Is anyone interested in the whole set?

Also, as I cannot set up a group buy I have talked to a few vendors on them helping me and putting up a group buy. But I have also emailed Two's R Us about them selling these bars on their website. I think it could be benficial to all of you guys because I'd rather have you guys be able to buy them whenever you want not only when I decide to set up a group buy.

Also, I'm thinking that I'm going to offer some sets painted and raw. The raw for some of you guys that want it to be shiny and nice. The painted set for the guys who just want to buy the part and never worry about it again. Lastly, I'm going to contact my local Toyota dealership about the oem bolts and maybe just putting new bolts in with the set. With all this in mind it would drive the price up more.

Feedback is welcomed! let me know what you guys think and thanks for all the support!

New bolts would be a really good idea, IMO. I can't imagine they'd be more than $1-3 each.

Nice work.
Bolts are 90119-10647, $1.26 retail, $0.99 from Lithia or similar discount vendor.

I'd be interested in a full set, raw without bolts.
