Are we encouraging additions to this list? If so, here's Ontario's tracks:

It's only a year old here in Albuquerque. I've been there twice so far. Fun fun!

Hallett - http://www.hallettracing.com

Gateway - http://www.gatewayraceway.com

Heartland - http://www.hpt.com

Sorry! I fatfingered the Heartland link - it should work now.

The Hallett link is good, but the site seems to be down right now. I actually have that one in my "favorites" and it worked up until today.

The Hallet address works for me.

Around the DFW area, these guys are the best to run with (for us amateurs who don't have out-and-out race cars).

And then there is:

Motorsport Ranch just SW of Fort Worth: http://www.motorsportranch.com/

And Texas World Speedway in College Station, TX: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/

For Cali people...
http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com/
http://www.willowspringsraceway.com/
you already have laguna seca
http://www.californiaspeedway.com/
then there's speedtrials....
http://www.speedtrials.com/
club 4ag has good links
http://www.club4ag.com/

Buttonwillow is cool, but I like Streets of Willow @ Willow Springs, no comment as of yet on Laguna or Cali Speedway.
Speedtrials has drift events, as wella 4ag does.

I approach this from the opposite direction, listing events at tracks instead of tracks.

See http://planet-torque.com/sche.php for just about every drive-your-own-car event in Illinois, Indiana, Western Michigan, and Wisconsin. Even a couple in Iowa.

Here is a track I recently found in Louisiana. Been there twice, once for a road track race, once for drag race. Love it. Think I will check out the Ferrari's on Oct. 24.

Nevada:

www.lvms.com Las Vegas Motor Speedway $$$$
www.springmountainmotorsports.com Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch

Both are good tracks, it's just that LVMS is expensive and booked to the gills. Pahrump is a little further away but well worth the trip, imo.

Here is an interesting site I found containing tracks around the U.S. Check out the link to the video search to find in-car videos of most of the tracks.

Exclamation New road course in Georgia

Zoning has been approved and construction is beginning on Atlanta Motorsports Park near Dawsonville. Don't know the const. schedule, but NASA-SE has an event scheduled later this year. Website is http://www.atlantamotorsportspark.net/

Drive with the stars! Some of the members are Patrick Dempsey, Bob Varsha, and Chipper Jones. This is great for the racing community, but wonderful for me . I live half way between AMP and Road Atlanta, and will be able to attend four NASA events within thirty miles of the house.
