Awsome... I like that somebody posted that... Thanks

I would like to add a couple things though. I am a practicing photographer and I do action shots most of the time. But hey. I have had a lot of cars in my 2 and a half years of driving. So i have found a couple things I personaly like to do.

Fist off. Practice with differnt film speeds. The slower the speed the more detail you will get. Meaning 400 speed is faster then 100. And on a lot of cameras you can adjust the settings. I wont get into those cause they are confusing and you don't need to know them unless you are going to make a hobie out of taking pics. If you camera does have differnt settings, mess with them. Just try and remeber what settting you used on what picture.

And also. Another cool thing to do is find a spot were the sun will set behind your car or around your car. It is amazing what the color of a sunset will do to a picture. I have taken a picture of almost all my car with the sun setting behind them. What i like the most is when i get the camera as close to the ground as posible and wait for the sune to reach ground level and snap of some pics. When the sun starts getting in the actual camera view start bringing the camera off the ground and you can get some pics off of shadows coming off the tires which make a good line to lead a stray eye back to your car where it should be.

Another cool thing to do is going to depend how good of a camera you have. If you have a camera that you can change to different lens' try using a wide agle lens. The shot will turn out kind like the shot of Hyde in Jeffs sig.

Oh and a stupid little reminder that most will know but some will not. Always point tthe wheels towards the camera. Look at Jekyl and Hyde in the sig above if you don't know what i'm talking about.

"who uses film any more"

I do darnit. lol.
I would use digital. But I am an action photographer. So dig can keep up with my camera. I am big on sequence shots. I can't aford a digital that can take 10 picture a second like my 35mm will.

The last pic, it is awsome. I love night shots with the lights on.

And what i ment of with the sun setting (not that yours is bad cause it look good) is with the sun behind the car.

I have some pics that i could send you to post for me. whenever i try to get somebody to host a picture it never works out.

I love automotive photography. Can't wait to get a digital SLR. For now I get by with a 2mp Olympus.

My friend uses film still, although sometimes he wishes he'd gone digital (he's frequently jealous when I snap off 10-20 pictures and go back and delete the bad ones ). Here's a nice shot he took with his Nikon N80.

LOL, oh yes. Sad, isn't it? They're probably worth it too. I borrowed a $1200 lens (in place of my $100 standard lens) for a couple shots once and they were remarkably sharp and awesome.

And now I have. Still experimenting with all the abilities of this camera, but I'm pretty happy with how my latest batch of pics turned out. http://www.pbase.com/bryanh/memdaydrive&page=all

Oh no, the link I just posted has pics from my new Canon EOS 300D. Although there is one photo in there that was taken with the old Olympus...

All the pics in my previous post in this thread were from the Olympus though.

It's a C2100 UZ, and it's for sale. Extremely versatile camera, it's got a bit of a cult following because it was so good for its time. Sad to see it go, but my digital SLR is taking over.

If you go to my WWW link there is a gallery of photos from that RS*R drift event we were at last year, you can see how the camera did there.

My '7 is in great shape still, all I need are stupid little things like clips and one of the little corner vents that always break. Probably not worth the effort.

Use a tripod
lens make pictures 20 times better.
Most the times its not about the camera but about the lens and the settings.
Never shoot in automatic

thats for SLR's though.
