is the reason you ask this because theyre foglight housing? meaning that the light isnt focused and goes more to the sides than is does straight?

Do you have any more details of how that is done? I specifically just want to know about the Shroud. I know those are 550's, but want to know how much of a gap, if any is around the shroud? How does it look up close? Are there any gaps b/c of the smaller headlight?

Car looks great too.

x2. i like that set up. my only problem would be come inspection time I'd have to have high beams. how did you modify the 550s?

i'd retrofit some bi-xenon HID projectors and bulbs in those housings to get highbeams. Had I known about them before getting some 4x6s thats what I would have done.

why not?

I planned on cutting a section out of the center, creating a flange on one end and a slot on the other and putting it back together with a bolt and nut.

thanks..

umm the light housing measures...
6.5 in x 3.75 i think
stock is 7x6?

not too much of a gap.. on the sides... id say no more than 1/2in on both sides.
but there is on the bottom.. due to the size

if its sunny tomorrw in socal
ill take a better picture up close.
