Fitting Tires on 14x6 Rims

I have the OEM triangles, which are 14x5.5 as we know. I want to get new wheels, the 14 inch diamater is honestly fine by me, and I can keep using the same tires. But I would like a bit wider of a wheel, so a 14x6 set is what I'm going for. Can I stretch the tires I have now onto the 14x6 (an extra 1/2" width) until I get some nice summer tires? How bad would this be?

I assume you are running a 185 60 14 tire? It will fit perfect on a 14 x 6. 195 60 14 would fit OK as well.

I have whatever the OEM tire size is. I think it'll still look nice with 14" wheels, I could get 15" wheels but then I would have to spend the money on new tires as well (with the 14" I can just swap them over until I get nicer tires).
