Heck, Subaru Imprezas still sell for only a thousand or two higher than they did in the mid-90's. Wonder why people keep buying them?
Great marketing and word of mouth. Much the same as Toyota had in the late 80s and 90s.

Most 91s were actually 1990 model year cars. same issue.

I've only seen a handful of 92's. I always thought that there were WAY more 93's out there, especially after all the engineering changes.

Yeah, I suppose thats true. It just seems like will all the cars you see parted out or hear of getting wrecked that more would be gone. But maybe it just SEEMS like a lot.

Well that makes me feel good about my 92 Signal Yellow 2.

wow, I'm surprised there's 180 91T's in Illinois, in central and northern IL I barely see maybe 20 different turbo mr2's, guess there's 160 elsewhere...

Best thread on mr2oc! My 1993 has a built date of 7/93, while I have seen another 1993 with a date of 2/92. Clearly, the production was longer in duration for this model year. Also, I have 1 of 13 Turbo 93's in Indiana

I know exactly why i buy them...

Imprezas are great cars. Reliable, stout, well-designed (especially the AWD system).
Hence why i've had 6 MR2's (85, 86, 88, 88s/c, 91n/a, 93T), but now i'm up to 7 Imprezas (96 Brighton, 98 STi, 00 RS x2, 02 WRX, 03 WRX, 04 STi). If you have to park the Two for a 4 seat car, I can't imagine a better/more practical/fun choice.

KevMo has provided us some great data... below I have organized it in Excel to make it a little easier to read by state and model type. There are some inconsistencies to the original production data but overall this is great.I can provide the PDF or Excel file if anyone wants it.

I'm wondering if an mr2 was sold and registered among numerous owners in that 18 months, in or out of state, that it may be counted more than once.

I moved from Michingan to Iowa with my 91 NA. I was probably counted in both states in the last 5 years...
