that is correct. no diecasts larger than 1/43 scale available for either MKI or MKII
for 1/24 scale, you will need to buy a plastic model kit

sure you can- the 1/24 scale kits fit perfectly on the Xmods RC chassis... if you want to go larger you can buy the SW20 ABC RC kit at 1/10 scale.. but I hear ya, its not the same.. I like the detail of some of my other 1/18 diecasts..

This just in.. a new release

just came in. was released by fujimi on 8/31/07.. a remake of there old 347 Tuning widebody kit. its kit number 045856 going for 1940 yen or roughly $16. I like how Fujimi is releasing the SW20 in there retro box.
enjoy.

oh, the only difference is that it's NOT a t-top turbo version like the original and not molded in green as the box dictates...

I paid $50 for it. enjoy.. here is the picture I got from my middleman of the car before I bought it.
I have about 60 more items that I need to add up on my photoshow..
stay tuned..
dang, I should just open a museum
Dude, that looks more like a Fiero. Those are definately Pontiac rims.

..yeah -hence my "its a Fiero badged as an MR2" comment. that's partly why its rare- the factory F-ked up. these are very scarce- first one I've ever seen in my ten years of collecting

Do you think it was a preproduction car? If it has any dates of 82 or 83 Id say they just wanted to make it before they got a true representation. Good find though! Have you seen if any Fiero owners have it? Might be worth more to them than us :-).

Scarcity is my majority! another rare pick up..

MR2NR15:
yeah man that might be the case. I checked the box and car and cant see any dates on it anywhere. but this is usually the case in a lot of Japanese toys from the 80's- they werent big on copyrighting until the 90's. hence there flexable reproduction guidelines (knockoffs).

ok this just in. I've been searching high and low and finally got a Momocorse JGTC 1/43 resin car from there 1999 JGTC victory.
it is made by Q-Models and the box is unnumbered -so the year is unknown. I could only estimate that it is from 2000-2001.
only one other person has one (or a similar one) that I know of- this is rare.
enjoy

yep there in there. I got those- I even have several of the actual comic books that the blue one is from "Over Rev"- actually I have a lot of Over Rev toys with the blue MKI. the other comic is tough to find MR2 items for since the MR2 only has a cameo role in it. it translates to "Mecha Dock" I think. that kit is the only thing I got with the MR2.. I have a few of the comics but none with the MR2. hmm
-the last one is a 1/20 scale- which I thought was a rare size for the MKI but now have like 8 different 1/20 scale kits- they are very popular in Japan. LS is a very big player in the MR2 model world- that particular one is made by ARII and though the box states 1984 on it- it truly is from 2001.
-ME: yeah man, I wish you had some stuff I didnt have too.. I love finding things that I dont have.. but thats the whole game isnt it ? .. the hunt continues..

nice slideshows. I noticed a white 1/64 rc car. Is that custom made or is that actually produced by a company?
